In the spirit of summer road trips... and road-trip-posts on oppo, i make my official first oppositelock post here.

for those of us dont read good, i'll keep the rambling to a minimum and give you what you really want, photos.

The trip started in helena, mt, in the airport parking lot, where this 1991 jaguar xjs had been since mid-march. it's green, of course, with tan, or saddle, or biscuit, or whatever they call it, interior. it has the 5.3l v12 engine, and a very sluggish gm 3speed automatic. it just turned 100,000 miles.

After picking it up at the airport, filling one of the tires with air, an oil change, and top up of fluids... we were on our way. not many photos from helena... so we'll start with the lewis and clark national forest:

ah, thanks!

Even though i had never heard of the name after seeing the badge, it gave me some hope that there might be a British mechanic somewhere nearby.
